As we travel the Rhine, sister Lois and I are reminded that 288 years ago ( 1727 ), our great, great, great, great, great grandfather, Nicholas Bieri made the trip down the Rhine to Rotterdam to sail to America. He and his family sailed on the ship Friendship and landed in Philadelphia. We are still trying to research what the Rhine boat might have looked like and haven't been successful.

This year, 2015, marks Joyce and Bob Miles' 50th Wedding Anniversary. For this occasion we are traveling via RiverCruise from Amsterdam to Budapest and on to Prague. As the cruise progresses, you will see we are accompanied by 10 friends who chose to celebrate with us. We hope you enjoy our journey. My sister, Lois surprised us to come on the cruise with her friend Marilyn. We now have 12 of us.
